What Rocky Comfort is not
Rocky Comfort does not provide, and should not be relied on as:
- Professional forestry consulting
- Wildlife biology consultation
- Agricultural, agronomic, or pesticide application advice
- Legal advice on land use, hunting regulations, or property matters
- Engineering, safety, or risk assessment services
- Financial, tax, or investment advice
- Real estate advice
Land management decisions depend on conditions specific to your property, your region, and current law. Consult qualified professionals — a consulting forester, your state forestry agency, your state wildlife agency, your cooperative extension office, a licensed applicator, or an attorney — before acting on anything you read here.
Safety-critical activities
This section is important.
Rocky Comfort discusses activities that can cause serious injury, death, property damage, and legal liability, including:
- Prescribed fire
- Chainsaw operation and tree felling, including hinge cutting
- Herbicide and pesticide application
- Trapping
Our content on these subjects deliberately covers when a tool is appropriate, what training and authorization are required, and how to find qualified help. It does not provide operational procedures, and it is not a substitute for training.
You agree that:
- You will obtain proper training and certification before undertaking any of these activities.
- You will obtain all required permits and authorizations, and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local law.
- You will follow product labels, which for pesticides are legally binding.
- You will not treat anything in this app as instruction sufficient to perform these activities safely.
- You accept full responsibility for your own safety, the safety of others, and any damage resulting from your activities.
Rocky Comfort LLC is not responsible for injury, death, property damage, environmental harm, regulatory penalties, or legal liability arising from your land management activities.
Generated content
Your property plan is assembled automatically from the answers you provide. You should understand:
- It is general guidance shaped by your inputs, not an assessment of your specific land by a professional who has seen it.
- The plan names a likely limiting factor as a starting hypothesis. It may be wrong, and the plan tells you how to check.
- Recommendations reflect general principles that may not apply to your conditions.
- No human reviews your individual plan before you see it.
Verify information independently before acting on it, particularly anything touching the safety-critical activities above.

Regulations vary and change
Hunting seasons, bag limits, burn permits, pesticide rules, trapping regulations, and forestry requirements differ by state and often by county, and they change. Rocky Comfort's content is general and may not reflect current rules where you are.
You are responsible for knowing and following the law in your jurisdiction. Your state wildlife and forestry agencies are the authoritative sources.
Subscriptions and payment
Rocky Comfort offers subscription tiers purchased through the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies, not by us.
Free content remains available without a subscription. Subscription tiers and pricing may change; changes won't affect your current billing period.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to extract, scrape, or redistribute our written content
- Reverse engineer or interfere with the app or our systems
- Share your account credentials
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Intellectual property
The written guides, personas, names, and branding are the property of Rocky Comfort LLC and are provided for your personal use. You may not reproduce or redistribute them.
You retain ownership of the information you enter about your property. We use it only to generate your plan and personalize which guides you see, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer of warranties
Rocky Comfort is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the information provided is accurate, complete, current, or applicable to your situation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rocky Comfort LLC and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, property, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app.
This includes damages arising from:
- Reliance on any information in the app, whether in a written guide or a generated plan
- Land management activities you undertake
- Injury or death to you or any other person
- Property damage, environmental harm, or regulatory penalties
- Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in content
Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rocky Comfort LLC from claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the app, your land management activities, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
